This class is intended for those who have an established meditation practice and are looking to deepen their practice in a group context. Each session will include guided meditation instruction, talks on the Buddha's teachings, and time for questions and dialogue to explore the application of the teachings and practice in the participants' daily life and experience. People of all ethnic backgrounds, sexual orientations, and gender identities are welcome.

San Francisco Insight Meditation Community

SF Insight, the San Francisco Insight Meditation Community, is dedicated to offering the teachings of the Buddha as they develop in the West. Our orientation is toward intensive lay practice. We offer classes, meditation retreats and other events as a community (sangha) devoted to the embodiment of awakening in our lives.

Eugene Cash is the founding teacher of the San Francisco Insight Meditation Community of San Francisco. He teaches at Spirit Rock Meditation Center and leads intensive meditation retreats internationally. His teaching is influenced by both Burmese and Thai streams of the Theravada tradition as well as Zen and Tibetan Buddhist practice. He is also a teacher of the Diamond Approach, a school of spiritual investigation and self-realization developed by A. H. Almaas.
